Turkey will vaccinate its population against the coronavirus for free as soon as it receives a registered vaccine. Ankara expects vaccinations to begin next month.

About that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a press conference on November 30.

Turkey agreed to buy 50 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, it said.

“Our citizens will be able to receive the vaccine for free. I hope that next month the vaccination of medical workers will begin,” said the Turkish leader.

Previously, Erdogan expected that the vaccination of the Turkish population would begin in December this year. He said Turkey will soon have its own COVID-19 vaccine.

RBC-Ukraine also wrote that the United States of America could start vaccinating the population against the coronavirus before Christmas. By then, the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are expected to be registered in the US.

In addition, Austria can start vaccination against the coronavirus in January 2020. Austria will receive 24 million doses of the vaccine.
