Gas delivery will increase dramatically
On average, starting in the new year, the cost of gas supply will grow by 80%. Some operators were allowed to triple their rates.
The National Energy and Public Services Commission approved an increase in gas distribution rates as of January 1, 2021. On average, prices will rise 80%, according to data on the regulator’s website.
It is proposed to increase the rates for the customers of 20 regional gas companies. For some of them, the price of gas supply could almost triple. Thus, the tariff for Ternopilgorgaz can grow from 0.4 UAH per cubic meter to 1.13 UAH per cubic meter, for Ternopilgaz – from 1.24 UAH to 2.81 UAH per cubic meter.
At the same time, it is proposed to reduce the tariff for two regional operators: for Spectrgas – by 3% (from UAH 3.28 per cubic meter to UAH 3.18 per cubic meter), for CJSC NGHP Sera – by 15% (from UAH 1.54 to 1, 82 UAH per cubic meter).
Within 10 days, everyone can submit their proposals to the regulator about the project to increase the cost of gas delivery.
Previously, Naftogaz reported that they would not change the price of gas for the population in December, leaving it at the November level.
At the same time, since July, Naftogaz has increased gas prices almost three times, from UAH 2,142 / cu. m – up to 6.33 UAH / cubic meter.
