Alexander Balabanov did not have enough points to get into the top 3 of Junior Eurovision 2020
Junior Eurovision 2020 was won by the representative of France Valentina with the song “J’imagine”. He received the maximum number of points for his performance: 200. But 14-year-old Ukrainian Alexander Balabanov was in seventh place.
Our interpreter sang the song “Vidkrivay”. The audience and the judges of the contest estimated their number of concerts at 106 points (54 from the music lovers and 52 from the jury).

The second place was occupied by the representative of Kazakhstan Karakat Bashanova (152 points), and the third was the Spanish Soleá (133 points). The Dutch group Unity came in fourth place with 132 points. The fifth was Arina Pehtereva from Belarus.
Alexandra also surpassed Sandra Gadelia from Georgia. But our artist left behind the representatives of Malta, Poland, Russia, Serbia and Germany.
As a reminder, the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final took place on November 29. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the organizers changed the format of the competition: the children did not perform together in the same room, but each in a studio in their own country (Ukrainian – in the UA: PERSHIY studio). At the same time, the show itself was broadcast live from a studio in Warsaw.

We add that Sasha Balabanov was born in Donetsk, and since childhood he loved to sing. At the age of four, he began attending a local children’s team. When the boy was eight years old, his family moved to Kiev. In the capital, he also continued to develop his voice and entered art school.
