The FA may open an investigation against Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani, Goal reports.

The reason was the story of the Uruguayan on Instagram, in which racist connotations are easily drawn. The footballer responded to a message from one of the users with the words “Thank you, black.”

For the use of such a word in relation to Patrice Evra in 2011, Cavani’s compatriot Luis Suárez was punished. So Suarez was fined 40,000 pounds.

Manchester United and the FA have yet to comment on Cavani’s situation.

In yesterday’s English Premier League game against Southampton (3-2), Cavani entered the field in the second half and helped his team to a resolute victory, losing until halftime with a score of 0: 2. Uruguayan first gave an effective pass to Bruna Fernandes, and then scored twice with a header in the 74th and 92nd minutes.

Following this victory, Manchester United is eighth in the Premier League with 16 points from nine games.

The team will play its next game on Wednesday, December 2, when PSG host PSG as part of the fifth round of the group stage of the Champions League.

It was previously reported that Manchester United main goalkeeper David De Gea was injured and was replaced after the first half of the match with Southampton.
