In Ukraine, the number of people infected with coronavirus who need to be hospitalized is constantly increasing, said the head of the Ministry of Health.

The situation with the spread of the coronavirus in Ukraine remains tense. This was announced at a briefing on Monday, November 30, by Health Minister Maxim Stepanov.

According to him, during the past week almost 7,000 more new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the country than a week before.

So, over the past week, 96,936 new cases of COVID-19 were detected. A week earlier, exactly 90 thousand people were infected. Furthermore, the number of hospitalizations continues to rise: 11,606 people were admitted to the hospital during the past week, 10,597 a week earlier.

“The situation is still quite tense. The number of patients is increasing and as a result, the number of people who are hospitalized in our hospitals is increasing,” Stepanov said.

It was previously reported that Ukraine recorded a sharp decline in the number of people infected with COVID-19. For the first time in two weeks, fewer than 10,000 new cases of coronavirus were registered in Ukraine.
