Nord Stream 2: pipeline construction to continue in December

[ad_1]

Construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline will resume in December. The pause in construction lasted about a year.

This was reported by NDR with reference to a representative of the Nord Stream 2 company.

According to the newspaper, the Baltic Sea Inland Waterways and Navigation Authority in Stralsund has announced the start of construction works for the captains of ships passing through the area. They were asked to be very careful.

Construction will begin south of the Adlergrund area on Saturday, December 5. It is here that the ends of the pipeline leading from the gas distribution station to the Baltic Sea meet.

Recall that in October, the US State Department announced the decision to extend sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in the near future.

Later, the Kremlin called for new US sanctions against the competition of raiders from the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

In addition, the US administration has increased pressure on European companies involved in the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

Note that the German Bundestag rejected the proposal to support the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline. The initiative was presented by the Alternative for Germany (ADG) party, which insists that the new gas pipeline responds to the interests of Germany and Europe and its construction must be completed as soon as possible.
