The United States operates in an open and transparent manner in partnership with and at the request of the government of Ukraine. The aim of the aid is to make Ukraine more secure and wealthy in order to promote the realization of the country’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations, enshrined in its Constitution.
This is stated in the official statement from the United States Embassy in Ukraine for the Savik Shuster Studio.
“Accusations that the United States and other Western partners are involved in the ‘external management’ of Ukraine’s internal affairs are not only incorrect, but turn reality upside down,” the statement said.
As the embassy noted, the United States is deeply concerned for the people of Ukraine and the values for which Ukrainians fought on the Maidan and continue to die in the Donbass.
“If we talk about ‘external control’, then we will ask the question: which country invaded Ukraine, imprisoned, resettled and tortured its citizens and is responsible for the war, which resulted in the deaths of more than 13 thousand people? trials and the dissemination of misinformation aimed at discrediting the democratically elected government of Ukraine and its reforms, which were not easy. ” – noted in the declaration
“The answer is clearly those forces, both inside and outside Ukraine, that seek to stop the Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine and enrich themselves at the expense of the Ukrainian people,” the message reads.
As RBC-Ukraine reported, the United States has provided $ 4.1 billion in assistance to Ukraine since 2014. This is approximately 2,780 hryvnia per citizen.
Recall that in July, the United States Senate introduced a bill that provides for the annual allocation of $ 300 million in military aid to Ukraine. The money will be used, among other things, to provide lethal weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the new issue of “Savik Shuster’s Freedom of Speech,” studio guests, including Andriy Shevchenko, Ilya Kiva, Serhiy Marchenko, Pavel Klimkin and other famous politicians and public figures, discussed the technical defeat of the Ukraine national team, the state budget for 2021 and the consequences of the closure for entrepreneurs. What to do in all these situations is the main topic of the talk show on November 27th.
