On Saturday, November 28, a women’s individual race was held in Kontiolahti, Finland, as part of the first stage of the World Cup.
Julia Dzhima became the best of the Ukrainian women, who managed to close all 20 goals. However, the weak speed on the track did not allow her to compete for a place on the podium, the 30-year-old woman from Kiev ranked 10th.
Daria Blashko also hit the glasses, with a passive penalty showing the result 25. Vita Semerenko, Elena Pidgrushnaya and Ekaterina Bekh did not face the shots and therefore did not enter the scoring zone. All three were well out of the top 40.
The victory was won by the Italian Dorothea Wierer, who won the Great Crystal Globe in the last two seasons. The silver medal with a passive penalty was won by the German Denise Herrmann, and the first three of the sensational winners were closed by the Swedish Joanna Scottheim, for whom this is the first personal podium in the World Cup.
