Oleksiy Kucher has served as head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration since November 2019. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed the former chief of staff of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Aina Tymchuk, to this position.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed the former head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Ainu Tymchuk, as head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. The head of state signed the corresponding decree No. 522/2020 on November 27.

During a meeting on November 27, Zelensky presented Tymchuk with a certificate and expressed the hope that the region “will reach new stages of development,” the presidential press service writes.

By decree No. 521/2020, the president removed Oleksiy Kucher from the post of head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, who had held this position since November 2019.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the dismissal of Kucher and the appointment of Tymchuk on November 25.

Tymchuk is 47 years old. She worked on the executive committee of the Dnepropetrovsk City Council (1997-2000), was Vice President of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Council, in 2010-2014 she was Deputy Mayor of Kharkov. Before her appointment as president of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, she worked as the head of the apparatus of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.
