President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on liability for lies in electronic statements. The project is registered under number 4434.

This is demonstrated by the data on the Parliament website.

The last stage of approval of the document was submitted to the management for consideration.

The law proposes to eliminate article 3661 Of the Penal Code. They want to complement the Code with a new article 3662 “Declare false information”.

This article establishes that said crime faces criminal responsibility in the form of a fine of 2,500 to 5,000 minimum non-taxable income of citizens or public works for a period of 150 to 240 hours, or a prison sentence of up to two years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or exercise certain activities for up to three years.

It is proposed to define separately in article 3663 Penal Code of criminal responsibility for non-compliance by the subject of the declaration of the declaration of the person authorized to perform the functions of the state or local government.

Earlier, the presidential representative in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, the People’s Deputy Fyodor Venislavsky announced that a new bill on liability for lies in electronic returns would be submitted to the Rada this week.

As RBC-Ukraine wrote, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption emphasized that imprisonment should be anticipated for deliberately indicating inaccurate information worth more than 1 million hryvnia.

Thus, a working group has been created in the Verkhovna Rada, which will develop draft laws on electronic filing and the activities of the KSU before 1 December.
