The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft budget of Ukraine for 2021 and presented it to the Rada

On Thursday, November 26, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the draft state budget for 2021 for the second reading. Health Minister Maxim Stepanov abstained from voting.

The corresponding decision was made during an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, a live broadcast was made on YouTube.

So, according to the head of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, Serhiy Marchenko, the state budget project for 2021 was coordinated with the International Monetary Fund.

They point out that the budget deficit was reduced from 6% to 5.47%, in an amount of 24 billion. At the same time, revenue increased by 21 billion.

Earlier today, on November 26, the first vice chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Financial, Tax and Customs Policy Committee, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, said that the state budget project for 2021 will be presented to the Verkhovna Rada this week and will be considered next.

In addition, “Strana” reported that the Ministry of Finance reported on the successful negotiations with the IMF on the state budget for 2021. The main focus of the negotiations was the formation of a common vision of the main budget indicators with the IMF: a framework for income, expenses and deficits.
