A foreigner was banned from entering Ukraine for several years.
An operator of the Russian propaganda television channel Russia Today, who had visited occupied Crimea, tried to enter Ukraine. The border guards did not allow the Kremlin-TV employee to enter the country, who also received a 3-year ban from entering Ukraine.
This was reported on November 26 in the press service of the State Border Service.
It is noted that a citizen of the Russian Federation, born in 1971, intended to reach Ukraine by car and was passing through the Kuchurgan checkpoint near Odessa.
According to the man, he was going to transit from Moldova to Russia.
During passport control, a database was activated: it turned out that the border guards already had preliminary information about an illegal visit to the Russian-occupied Ukrainian peninsula in connection with officer RosSMI.
It turned out that he flew to Crimea by plane from the Russian Federation and participated in the filming of videos in the captured territory of Ukraine for the Russia Today television channel.
“I should have guessed there would be a check,” the man said during a conversation with Ukrainian border guards.
