Warn in 7-10 days
Ukrainians will be warned about the introduction of a lockdown 7-10 days in advance, said the head of the Health Ministry, Maxim Stepanov. The government will make a decision on strict quarantine in December.
Ukraine’s Health Minister Maxim Stepanov promised to warn citizens about the introduction of a total lockdown in advance, a week or 10 days before the introduction of strict quarantine restrictions. The minister said this on the air 112 Ukraine.
“I think we will immediately see this dynamic (after the weekend quarantine – ed.) /… / We see and analyze a lot of numbers, not just the incidence rate. I think this should be done in a week, in 10 days. At least we, as the Ministry of Health, will be able to do this, “Stepanov said.
He added that the government began to speak in advance about the introduction of the weekend quarantine in the country.
“At a government meeting … a week before, we began to say that we have this initiative and that we want to implement it, with what it is connected and what we want to do,” the minister emphasized.
Before that, we wrote that Ukrainians should prepare for a shutdown, which, according to a source from the Cabinet of Ministers, will be presented on the New Year holidays.
Korrespondent.net also wrote that a lockdown assistance package for businesses was developed. In general, at least 10 billion UAH will be spent for these purposes.
