Ukraine is preparing for a blockade
Ministers no longer hide plans to introduce a total blockade in Ukraine, the only question is the date of its start.
On Thursday, November 26, Ukraine updated the anti-registration of the number of coronavirus cases per day: 15,331. Previously, the threshold of 15 thousand illnesses per day was called catastrophic and signifies a complete collapse of the medical system. So talk of a total blockade is louder in Ukraine. In addition, they are not only carried out by doctors, but also by politicians.
So when to expect a complete lockdown in Ukraine?

The first to propose a return from full quarantine was Culture Minister Alexander Tkachenko.
Health Minister Maxim Stepanov later announced a lockdown when it reached 30,000 cases a day.
Interior Minister Arsen Avakov announced on Thursday the need for an immediate shutdown for the next three to four weeks.
Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal said the government is considering a plan to introduce a strict lockdown on Ukraine, but this is only an alternative in case the weekend quarantine does not work. According to him, the government is preparing for all possible scenarios, including the possible introduction of a blockade for the winter holidays: New Years and Christmas.
Oleg Ustenko, adviser to the president on economic issues, confirmed that in the event of a sharp increase in the incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine, the authorities could resort to introducing a total lockdown.
“The development of the events will depend on the epidemiological situation. President The office of the president and the government have done their best to prepare for the various scenarios. Among other things, of course, the possibility of a shutdown was considered if the situation with the spread of the infection worsened, ”said Yulia Mendel, press secretary to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Three options
According to the publication Liga.net, the first version of the blockade provides for the introduction of a strict quarantine literally immediately after the adoption by the Rada of the economic laws that guarantee business support. The interlocutor of the publication of the Servant of the People faction assures that, in this way, a confinement may be introduced next week, if the growth of coronavirus cases is not slowed. The term of the restrictions is two weeks until the end of the New Year holidays.
The second option: the quarantine is introduced no earlier than December 15 and continues until the end of the Christmas holidays. This option gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to prepare for constraints.
The third option, the most benign, is to restrict the work of several companies as of December 29 for two or three weeks.
What will be closed?
If the New Years lockout looks like the one introduced on March 12, the list of restrictions may include:
– prohibition of interregional passenger transport by plane, train and bus;
– travel by city public transport only with special passes, the closing of the metros;
– prohibition to visit parks and recreation areas;
– inability to meet in groups, cancellation of mass meetings;
– transfer the entire field from education to distance education, close kindergartens;
– closure for visits to the majority of administrative, state and municipal institutions;
– stop the activities of companies in the field of catering (except takeout and home delivery), services, culture, etc.
– termination of sports competitions.
