The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine announced that it has completed negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) regarding the parameters of the draft state budget for 2021. The budget parameters coincide with the estimates of the fund’s specialists.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.
This was one of the prerequisites for starting the first review of a joint reserve program with the IMF for Ukraine, determining the date of the mission visit of the IMF’s Europe Department and receiving the next tranche, the press service said. . The parties discussed, in particular, the scope of revenue, expenses and the deficit.
“In general, the parameters of the 2021 budget coincide with the estimates of the fund specialists, which was important for the continuation of successful cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF,” says the message.
Earlier, the Office of the President said that this year Ukraine does not have time to receive the tranche from the International Monetary Fund.
The government predicted that Ukraine could receive the next tranche from the IMF in late 2020 or early 2021.
