If the number of coronavirus infections per day increases dramatically in Ukraine, as of December 20 the government can introduce a blockade. If the situation is more or less stable, a strict quarantine will be introduced after the New Year.

At the same time, according to RBK-Ukraine, there is no clear date for the introduction of the blockade. The introduction of a strict quarantine, they say, depends solely on the epidemic situation in the country and the rate of its deterioration.
“There is no specific date (the introduction of a blockade – 24 channels). Maybe 20, 15 and 25 (December – 24 channels),” emphasized RBK-Ukraine.
Shmygal on the lock
Note that on November 25, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said that the government is now considering various scenarios to counter the coronavirus. Among them is the introduction of a total lockdown for the winter holidays.
At the same time, the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleg Nemchinov promised that the Ukrainians would be warned about the introduction of the blockade. In particular, the decision to strengthen the quarantine will not come as a surprise.
