The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will not impose a strict quarantine on the New Year holidays without prior notice. The government promises that Ukrainians will have time to prepare in advance if the authorities still tighten restrictions.
This was stated in a briefing by the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleg Nemchinov.
According to him, the authorities are studying the effect of the weekend quarantine and some stabilization is already being observed.
“We are very aware that there may be some kind of restrictions during the cycle of New Years and Christmas holidays. I believe that the specialists will elaborate these proposals and we will be able to present them if necessary, so that both citizens and companies are ready in advance” Nemchinov said.
We will recall, it was previously reported that Ukraine resumed quarantine payments for the children of individual entrepreneurs.
Today, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said that a plateau of COVID-19 incidence is forecast in early December. According to him, the improvement was due to the weekend quarantine and a decrease in population mobility.
