Monthly rainfall is expected to be 32-82 mm, in Transcarpathia and in the Crimean mountains 108-132 mm, which is within long-term average values.
According to meteorologists, the snow cover usually forms over most of the territory of Ukraine in December, only in the extreme south it does not settle every year.
“In December, it is likely that during the thaws there will be strong winds, snowstorms and adherence of wet snow: fog and ice,” says the message.
Long-term observational data indicate that the absolute maximum air temperature in December is 10-18 degrees Celsius, in the southern part and in the Carpathian region in some places 19-20 degrees, in Crimea up to 25 degrees . The absolute minimum is 21 to 37 degrees below zero, in the southern regions 17 to 28 degrees below zero. Average monthly rainfall is 33-67 mm, in Transcarpathia and in some places in mountainous regions 62-142 mm.
