According to experts who have read the tweet, Xiaomi has adhered to an unchanged strategy until recently. Its essence is to stop updating smartphones after they receive an Android firmware and two MIUI 12 cases.
In the case of the Note 8, Google’s first update was Android 10 (it replaced the 9 Pie operating system of the same name). This means that the modernization process for the aforementioned phones had to end there. However, the developers decided to abandon the established tradition and, for the first time in history, incorporated the second generation of the “green robot” in the same device.
This decision will allow device owners to soon enjoy the Android 11 case with a plugin in the form of MIUI 12, said the author of the mini-sensation. The announced date for the “arrival” of the novelty is the first half of 2021.
At the time of writing this article, there were no official confirmations of the reliability of this information from either Redmi or the company that controls the Xiaomi brand.
Previously it was known about the refusal of MIUI 12 to be installed in thousands of Note 8 smartphones around the world. More details about the failure occurred in users – in this material.
