Acting Minister of Education and Science Sergei Shkarlet said that by 2021 the state budget project foresees an increase in the salaries of public sector employees, including teachers. It is expected to increase from January, by 20%, and from July, by another 8.3%.
He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
The draft state budget establishes that the salaries of employees under the Unified Rate Program in 2021 will increase twice: from January 1 and July 1.
“Teacher salaries will grow … Starting in January 2021, official salaries (wage rates) of public sector employees, including education and science, will increase by 20%, and starting in July, by another 8.3% “. – Wrote the head of the Ministry of Education.
He assured that funds are provided for such an increase in salaries and official salaries for next year.
Since September 1, the salaries of all public sector employees, particularly teachers, have increased by 5.8%.
Recall that in September, the Verkhovna Rada recommended that the Cabinet of Ministers provide UAH 6 billion for additional payments to teachers by the end of 2020.
As RBC-Ukraine wrote, in early November, the Rada approved the state budget for 2021 as a basis. Parliamentarians supported draft resolution No. 4000-P as a basis and as a whole.
