The head of the Ukraine patrol police, Yevgeny Zhukov, experienced the action of the Taser stun gun.

The corresponding video was posted on the official Youtube channel of the Ukrainian Patrol Police.

According to Zhukov, the Taser X2 is a deterrent stun gun that helps immobilize the offender for a short time without causing any harm to their health. It is used in the US, Canada, Great Britain, France, Australia, Germany, Israel, and 100 other countries around the world.

The device has been approved by the Ministry of Health.

Who can use stun guns

  • citizens who have committed administrative or criminal offenses and have violently resisted the police;
  • citizens who have committed a serious or especially serious crime and are trying to escape;
  • citizens who offer armed resistance and try to escape from the police;
  • Armed citizens who threaten the use of an open flame or other elements that threaten the life or health of people, in particular policemen.

What the law provides now

According to current law, a stun gun can only be used in cases of repelling an attack, in particular the police, as well as to repel an attack by an animal that threatens the life or health of people.
