The District Court of Kiev Goloseevsky closed the case against the judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Igor Slidenko. The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has accused the judge of not submitting electronic statements.
This was reported to RBC-Ukraine by a police source.
According to him, on Monday, November 23, the court considered two administrative protocols drawn up by a judge for the late filing of an electronic declaration.
“The case was closed under both protocols regarding the cancellation of the act, which establishes responsibility,” said the source.
The case was closed because the Constitutional Court had previously declared it unconstitutional and annulled the responsibility for inaccurate declaration. Igor Slidenko was the judge-rapporteur in this process.
NAPK stated that it acted under conditions of conflict of interest.
The judge himself told RBC-Ukraine that he did not meet the 10-day deadline for filing an electronic statement on his salary due to the fact that he was abroad for the New Year holidays.
We will recall, earlier, the Goloseevsky court closed the case against Constitutional Court judge Vladimir Moisik.
It was previously reported that the Constitutional Court canceled the right of the NACP to verify the declarations and identify conflicts of interest. These powers of the NAPC were declared unconstitutional by the court.
Later it was learned that on the eve of this decision, the NACP was preparing to hand over the protocols on the conflict of interest to three judges of the Constitutional Court, among whom were Moisik and Slidenko.
