In Nagorno-Karabakh, in the Madagiz region, they flew a joint search party. As a result, an Azerbaijani soldier was killed, a Russian peacemaker and employees of the local “Ministry of Emergency Situations” were injured.

This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry, reports RIA Novosti.

It is reported that a joint group of Russian peacekeepers, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the Karabakh Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Red Cross were searching for the dead in the Terter region.

“In the Madagiz settlement area, a mine explosion occurred during work. As a result of the blast, an officer of the Russian peacekeeping contingent was injured,” the statement said.

It is also reported that an Azerbaijani officer was killed and four more employees of the local “Ministry of Emergency Situations” were injured of varying severity.

It should be recalled that former Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the war in Nagorno-Karabakh was stopped by the joint efforts of Ankara and Moscow.

According to Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev, the Nagorno-Karabakh peace agreement ended the conflict in the long term.
