“The investigation found that in November 2020, the acting director of the branch of the State Reserve Agency of Ukraine, without obtaining permission from the owner of the grain that was stored in the bases, decided to send it to commercial structures without payment from them.” the NABU said in a statement.

Law enforcement officers stressed that in this way the official planned to seize more than 189 tons of grain worth more than 2.8 million hryvnia, which belonged to the State Reserve.

On November 18 and 19, NABU detectives “took urgent investigative measures and prevented the illegal export of grain from the state-owned company.”
