Lukashenka was called “a former president who commits anarchy, persecutes and kills … Christians for the truth.” The archbishop also called for an end to his penal orders.

The Belarusian Orthodox Autocephalous Church has imposed anathema on Alyaksandr Lukashenka. It was announced on Sunday, November 22, by the church’s primate, Archbishop Svyatoslav Login, during a service at St. Cyril’s Cathedral of Turov in Toronto, Canada, reports Radio Liberty.

The text of the church document released later is called “Anathema to former President Alexander Lukashenko, who commits anarchy, persecutes and kills Orthodox Christians and other peaceful Christians for the truth in Belarus.”

Lukashenko was also called “a dictator, murderer and torturer of the reverent Belarusian people.”

“We urge those who still serve their satanic power not to execute criminal orders, because otherwise they will face the curse of their descendants in earthly life and hell in heavenly life …”, the document says.

The document prohibits the faithful from mentioning Lukashenko in prayers before his repentance before the church and the Belarusian people.

Let us remind you that on Sunday more than 300 people were arrested in protests in Belarus.

Earlier it was reported that Tikhanovskaya demands to recognize the Belarusian security forces as terrorists.
