Ukrainians elected mayors of eleven cities
In Ukraine, the second round of elections for the heads of municipalities took place in cities such as Dnipro, Lvov, Nikolaev, Rovno, Slavyansk, Cherkassy, Berdyansk, Nikopol, Drohobych, Uzhgorod, Poltava. According to exit polls, incumbent mayors are in the lead in most cities. Participation in the repeated elections was 29.53%.
As specified in the Voters Committee of Ukraine, official data on the results of the second round of elections will be released on Friday, November 27, inclusive.
The expert announced the growth of the dollar against the hryvnia
Senior Analyst Alpari Vadim Iosub predicted that the dollar against the hryvnia is expected to rise over the next working week: the US currency can be traded in banks at the level of 28.4-28.6 hryvnia, and in the interbank market – around 28, 5 hryvnia.
At the same time, according to the expert, the future situation in the foreign exchange market depends on the continued cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF.
More than 624 thousand cases of coronavirus in Ukraine
On the morning of November 22, 624,744 COVID-19 cases were recorded in Ukraine, of which 286,917 ended in recovery and 10,951 in death. During the day, 12,079 infected were identified.
In this regard, Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers Denis Shmyhal said that the government is developing plan “B” to combat the coronavirus epidemic and at the same time continues to strengthen the medical system.
The United States withdrew from the Open Skies Treaty
The United States of America has formally withdrawn from the Open Skies Treaty because Russia is not meeting its obligations under this document, said US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
