“Shakhtar will play differently in Germany”

Former Ukrainian national team captain Yuriy Shelepnitskiy shared his thoughts on Dynamo and Shakhtar’s play in the 10th round matches of the Ukrainian championship.

– Immediately after the Shakhtar – Oleksandriya match, I had the opportunity to hear the opinion that the Pitmen game was broken with the expulsion of Moraes. Do you agree?

– Yes, Moraes played hard. If in the previous round Monzul eliminated Sidorchuk for a similar violation, then it was all up to the referee. Shakhtar prefers to keep the game under control and is more difficult to do with ten men. To win in this situation, you must play against a weak opponent. However, Alexandria is a serious opponent. Furthermore, the Oleksandrians not only wanted to score points in the tournament, they were also very interested in taking points away from Shakhtar. But this is my personal guess.

– Looking ahead to the Champions League game with Borussia (Mönchengladbach), are you worried about Shakhtar’s game?

– It causes no delight. Without a doubt, the Pitmen are looking forward to fighting against the German team. In Germany, Shakhtar will play differently, perhaps because of discipline in the first place.

– Did the Dynamo get three points in the game against Ingulets with little blood?

– “Ingulets” in a situation where an opponent, even a very eminent one, came into the game without 15 players in the squad, had to successfully complete his draw streak. And if the Dynamo in such a situation managed to get a victory with confidence, punishing the home team for mistakes, this is only thanks to the upper class. Perhaps Mircea Lucescu’s team didn’t look very good in the game, but they made the most of Ingulets’ mistakes on defense. That is not all. I’m sure that on the set Lucescu pointed out to the charges which of the rivals and in which situation he could be wrong. Dynamo pressed the defense of “Ingulets” and waited for his chance.

The game of the tenth round was of great importance to maintain the condition of the White-Blues. Also, after business trips to their national teams, the Dynamo should, as they say, feel like one another again. Of course, the status of Mikolenko, Buschan, Karavaev, Shepelev and Supryaga is not entirely clear … Let’s see.
