Georgia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) has published the results of the second round of parliamentary elections in the country on its website.
According to the data, the candidates of the ruling Georgian Dream party are winning in all 17 single-term constituencies. In the Tbilisi districts, they received about 90 percent of the vote. Thus, in the metropolitan area of Mtatsminda-Krtsanisi, the current deputy Beka Odisharia obtained 91.51 percent of the votes, in the Vake district, 93.7 percent of the voters voted for Nodar Turdzeladze, and in Isani , the former Minister of Execution of Punishments Kakha Kakhishvili wins with 92.74 percent of the votes.
On November 1, the Georgia Central Election Commission released the results of the parliamentary elections. According to them, “Georgian Dream” won with 48.15 percent of the votes. In second place, with 27.14 percent, is the opposition bloc “Force in unity”, of which the United National Movement party, founded by Mikhail Saakashvili, is part. The opposition did not recognize the election results and refused to enter parliament. Protest actions began in the country.
