The Kerch Bridge was built illegally

Last month, Brussels expanded sanctions against participants in the construction of the Kerch Bridge, adding two people and four companies to the “blacklist.”

Four European countries, including Ukraine, have joined the decision of the Council of the European Union to extend sanctions against participants in the construction of the Kerch Bridge, which Russia has built in annexed Crimea. This was reported by the press service of the European Parliament on Friday 20 November.

It is noted that last month the EU extended sanctions against participants in the construction of the Kerch Bridge, adding to the “black list” two people and four companies.

“The candidate countries Montenegro, Albania and Norway, which is part of the European Economic Area, as well as Ukraine, join this decision of the Council of the EU,” says the message.

The four countries will ensure that their national policies are in line with this EU Council decision. Brussels welcomed the decision of the four countries.

Switzerland was also reported to have imposed sanctions against those who participated in the construction of the Kerch Bridge.

Recall that in September the EU extended personal sanctions against Russia for six months for the annexation of Ukrainian Crimea.
