In Moscow, a farewell ceremony is being held with the director of Ukrainian origin Roman Viktyuk, who died on November 17 at the age of 85.
The funeral ceremony takes place in the Viktyuk Theater building, where he worked as an artistic director for several decades. Farewell broadcast posted on YouTube (scroll to the bottom to see the video).
The coffin with the body of Viktyuk, surrounded by flowers, is on the main stage of the theater; everyone can come up and honor the director’s memory. Note that the coffin was left closed, since a few weeks before his death, the People’s Artist of Ukraine and the Russian Federation fell ill with coronavirus.
After splitting up in Moscow, Viktyuk’s body will be transported to Ukraine; He will be buried in his native Lviv in the Lychakiv cemetery with his parents. Long before his death, the director acquired the family crypt and bequeathed it to bury it there.
We recall that the farewell of the People’s Artist of Ukraine Roman Viktyuk in Lviv will take place on Monday, November 23 at the First Theater. The ceremony will begin at 10:00. Then, a public memorial service will be held at 12:00. At 13:30 the coffin will be transferred from the theater to the Church of Saint Andrew, at 15:00 there will be a funeral in the Lychakiv cemetery.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, it was known before that Roman Viktyuk’s inheritance would go to his sisters and niece, who live in Lviv. However, it later turned out that they were not the only relatives of the director. It turned out that he has a daughter and grandchildren.
