The newly elected president of the United States, Joe Biden, will announce the key ministers of the new administration next week. In particular, there is already a candidate ready for the post of Minister of Finance.
This is reported by CNN, citing an official at Biden-Harris headquarters.
Leil Brainard, who is now a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, could become finance minister on a preliminary basis.
“Joe Biden has accelerated the selection process for his cabinet and plans to announce the first key appointments next week,” he said.
Earlier it was learned that former US President Barack Obama is pressuring his former national security adviser Susan Rice for the post of secretary of state. The Democratic Party initially viewed Rice as a possible vice president.
And The Washington Post wrote that Joe Biden’s team is considering appointing former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as the Permanent Representative of the United States to the UN.
Recall, on November 7, Biden announced his election as President of the United States. In turn, the current head of the United States, Donald Trump, announced his willingness to sue.
