Conducting searches of the Dignity Revolution Museum before the anniversary of the Euromaidan start does not promote harmony in society, law enforcement officials had to take this into account, the Office of the President said.
The Office of the President of Ukraine is concerned that law enforcement officers conducted searches at the Museum of the Dignity Revolution on the eve of Euromaidan. This is stated in the OPU statement, published on November 19 on Telegram.
The news of the searches in this museum “from the headline” cannot fail to provoke “very polar emotions”, even “extremely destructive”, said the OPU.
“One cannot help but worry because the investigative actions clearly took place on the eve of the anniversary of the beginning of the Maidan. It is clear that this extraordinary day always evokes emotions, it is always lived acutely. The Office of the President noted that such actions “certainly do not contribute to public harmony in the state.”
“Law enforcement must also take these things into account when there is no urgent need for investigative action,” they added.

The Museum of the Dignity Revolution is dedicated to the events of late 2013 – early 2014, when mass protests took place in Ukraine, leading to a change of power – President Viktor Yanukovych fled to Russia.
