The European Union reacted to the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin to simplify the recognition of “documents” issued in the so-called “DPR” and “LPR”. The EU sees this as yet another attempt by the Kremlin to undermine the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

This is stated in the official statement from the spokesperson for the European External Action Service.

The European Union called on Russia to fulfill its obligations under “Minsk”.

“We hope that Russia will refrain from actions that contradict the Minsk agreements and prevent the full reintegration of territories not controlled by the Ukrainian government, and instead fully comply with its obligations under the Minsk agreements,” the EU said.

In addition, the EU recalled that in 2019 an instruction was issued on the processing of visa applications for residents of ORDLO, which is designed to ensure respect for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Recall that the simplification of the recognition of the “documents” of ORDLO was criticized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The ministry stressed that this decision is the next step in the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Furthermore, RBC-Ukraine wrote that the Cabinet of Ministers named a list of Putin’s decrees that must be canceled in order to vacate Donbass.
