The State Agency for Arts and Art Education announced the winner of the competition for the best sketch of the great state emblem of Ukraine.
Culture Minister Alexander Tkachenko announced this on Facebook.
«In total, 112 works were admitted to the competition. The jury today presented its decision at the meeting of the organizing committee. The first prize went to Alexey Kokhan’s project, ”he said.
Tkachenko explained that the winning sketch contains all the necessary elements of the coat of arms: the coat of arms of the Zaporozhye Army, a Cossack warrior, a knight with a musket, and the sign of the princely state of Vladimir the Great. (Trident – small state emblem).
According to Ukrinform, the head of the Justice Ministry, Denis Malyuska, said in a briefing that the department will prepare a technical description and legal nuances of the use of the draft of the large state emblem and transfer its developments to the Verkhovna Rada.
To approve the document, it is necessary for a constitutional majority to vote on it, at least 300 deputies.
Recall that on August 25, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a resolution announcing a competition for the best sketch of the great state emblem. The document was supported by 279 popular deputies. On September 30, the contest had the support of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The competition was held from October 1 to November 1, the authors of the best sketches were promised a prize of 100 thousand hryvnia (first), 50 thousand hryvnia (second), 30 thousand hryvnia (third).
According to the Constitution of Ukraine, the main element of the large state emblem of Ukraine is the small state emblem of Ukraine. The Emblem of the Small State of Ukraine is the Trident, the sign of the princely State of Vladimir the Great.
At the legislative level, the description of the great state emblem of Ukraine has not yet been determined.
