The “Ombudsman” Daria Morozova accused Kiev of blocking negotiations on the exchange of prisoners
It is now impossible to conduct a detainee exchange, or move into other work areas at the Minsk site, according to “DPR.”
The exchange of prisoners in Donbass will not take place until the roadmap for the implementation of the Minsk agreements is agreed in the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG). This roadmap must be approved by the Verkhovna Rada. This was stated by the representative of the “DPR” in the Minsk subgroup on humanitarian issues, the so-called “ombudsman” Daria Morozova, the separatist media reported on Thursday, November 19.
According to her, negotiations on the exchange of prisoners have been blocked, allegedly because of the Ukrainian side.
“It is now impossible to exchange detainees or move into other work areas at the Minsk site. To resume the dialogue and achieve construction, the parties to the conflict must agree on a document that will contain a mechanism to unblock negotiations and reaffirm adherence to the Minsk accords, “Morozova said.
It was previously reported that Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has asked the Red Cross for help to speed up the prisoner exchange.
Likewise, the head of the Presidency, Andriy Yermak, said that the lists for the exchange of prisoners with the separatists included around a hundred people from each side.
