After the authorities of the canton of Lucerne did not give official consent for the holding of the League of Nations match between the Swiss and Ukrainian teams due to several positive PCR tests on the Ukrainian team, UEFA opened a sanctioning case against the respect.
On 20 November, the UEFA disciplinary committee will not consider the case of the Swiss match of the Ukrainian team. Until November 20, the Ukrainian Football Association, like the Swiss Football Union, will be required to provide all full legal information on the history of the failed match in Lucerne.
In addition to the main arguments that the Ukrainian team had 13 healthy players for the match, the Ukrainian team will add to the case the results of the PCR tests of the Ukrainian delegation, which the team passed on their return to Kiev on November 19 . All tested negative, including those of Junior Moraes and Sergey Krivtsov, who had previously passed false positive tests in Lucerne.
The UEFA Disciplinary Committee will reportedly accept the final verdict on next week’s Switzerland – Ukraine match, after analyzing all documents on this issue.
