For lack of a mask in public places you will be fined
Citizens who are in public places without a mask covering their mouth and nose will be fined up to 255 hryvnia.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law on fines for being in public places without wearing personal protective equipment. This was announced on Thursday, November 19, by the press service of the Presidency.
The law provides for the imposition of a fine of 10 to 15 minimum non-taxable income of citizens for staying in public buildings, structures, public transport during the quarantine period without wearing personal protective equipment, including respirators or protective masks that cover the nose and the mouth, in particular, independently.
It is noted that the law aims to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease among Ukrainian citizens.
“The document will help increase the social responsibility of citizens and protect their health and life, in addition to reducing the number of cases of coronavirus disease, it will help prevent an uncontrolled increase in the number of patients with COVID-19 and the overload of medical institutions, “the statement said.
The Verkhovna Rada adopted the Law on Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine to Prevent the Spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) No. 1000-IX on November 6, 2020.
