Based on the results of the last matches of the League of Nations, the final composition of the baskets was formed for the draw of the European team for the World Cup, to be played in Qatar in 2022.
Ukraine’s national team made it to the second basket and consequently will not face Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, Wales, Austria, Slovakia, Serbia, Turkey and Romania. In addition, remember, UEFA will divorce the blue-yellow from the Russian team, which after the fiasco in the game with Serbia fell to the third basket.
Ukraine can fall outside the first basket: Belgium, France, England, Portugal, Spain, Croatia, Italy, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands.

The 2022 World Cup draw will take place on December 7 in Zurich, Switzerland. In total, ten groups will be formed: five with six teams and five with five. Group winners will advance to the World Cup final, runner-up teams will play the playoffs. They will be joined by two more teams that were the best in the League of Nations among which they will not take one of the first two places in the selection for the World Cup.
The 2022 World Cup, we remember, will not be held in summer, but in November and December. This is due, among other things, to the climatic conditions of Qatar, where the final stage will take place.
