When Ukraine can receive a tranche from the IMF: probable date

Ukraine can receive the next tranche from the International Monetary Fund in late 2020 or early 2021. Kiev must agree with the Fund on three main issues.

The government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Vasily Mokan spoke about the prospect of receiving a tranche of the IMF on the air from one of the television channels, writes channel 24.

We are now talking about receiving a tranche at the end of 2020 or early 2021. Also linked to this is the EU macro-financial assistance, whose tranche is 600 million euros,
– Mocan said.

According to him, cooperation with the IMF depends on the adoption of the State Budget 2021. At the same time, rumors that the program is threatened are not true.

“There is interaction and communication. Today (channel from November 18 to 24) the Minister of Finance, during the day before the government meeting and afterwards, communicated about the budget project,” added Mokan. He also noted that issues of the anti-corruption structure and independence of the NBU are still being coordinated with the IMF.
