The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said that he was in Feofania hospital with COVID-19, because the necessary level of communications security for remote work in a residential building cannot be provided.
The official reported his illness on November 18 on his Facebook page. He noted that he planned to organize self-isolation and home health care, but failed.
As Yermak put it, he participated remotely in a number of “extremely important calls”, including advisers to the leaders of the countries participating in the “Normandy” format.
“I think that through constant calls and video calls I created inconvenience for the staff. That is why I myself feel uncomfortable and want to apologize. I am infinitely grateful to you for your patience, dear doctors.”, – wrote the head of the OP.
He admitted that he was busy with work at first and felt good. After a while, his health condition worsened, he had a fever, cough, sore throat and chest.
“The weekend was tough, I gave up work a bit.”– said Ermak. He stressed that now he is much better, he is recovering.
“It was the need for a full job every day, secure video conferencing, calls, etc. were the main reasons for Feofania. I don’t like getting sick, the last time I was in the hospital many years ago. Understood again, this is not Own”., – said the head of the President’s Office.
He urged everyone to comply with the quarantine and also thanked the doctors. According to Yermak, they save people despite the long-term problems of medicine.
