Quarantine in Ukraine will help mitigate the consequences of the coronavirus in winter

The quarantine restrictions will help Ukraine survive the winter more easily. But the coronavirus pandemic will make winter very difficult for the country.

This was stated by the Minister of Health, Maxim Stepanov, in an interview with Reuters.

He noted that the current restrictions imposed by the government will at least keep the increase in cases of coronavirus infection at the current level and prevent its increase.

“These measures will help Ukraine to survive a difficult period, the most difficult winter. This period, in my opinion, will be very severe in terms of morbidity and the number of seriously ill patients,” Stepanov said.

The minister also pointed to the “exciting” trend of increasing the incidence of COVID-19 among people under the age of 40.

Please note that today in Lviv we received a batch of rapid tests for the coronavirus antigen. They will test professors and doctors in the city.

We will recall, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said that Ukraine will buy 6 million rapid tests for COVID-19. First, they will be greeted by family doctors and ambulance teams.
