A vote in the Verkhovna Rada to abolish the “weekend quarantine” would give Ukrainian society a false signal, said Yevhenia Kravchuk, deputy director of the mono-majority faction.
The Servant of the People faction did not obtain votes for the resolution to abolish the “weekend quarantine” because MPs did not see the legal significance in it. This was reported by the deputy head of the monoboly faction Yevhen Kravchuk in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.
She emphasized that the abolition of quarantine is the prerogative of the government.
“We cannot cancel the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers. Only he himself can change his decision. But for society it would be a false signal that there will be no restrictions next weekend. And if the Cabinet does not cancel the quarantine, then the police it will reach the people with fines and protocols, “Kravchuk said.
The Humanitarian Policy and Information Committee, which includes the Popular Deputy, has already addressed the Cabinet of Ministers with a request for compensation to companies in the field of culture, tourism and creative industries for their losses.
