The Ministry of Education and Science named the annual income of foreign students

More than 80 thousand foreign students from 158 countries of the world study in Ukraine. The average duration of training is five to six years.

Foreign students bring more than $ 500 million in revenue to Ukrainian universities per year. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education on Tuesday, November 17.

A foreign student spends between 6 and 8 thousand dollars per year of study. At the same time, as of January 1, 2020, 80,470 foreign students from 158 countries of the world studied at Ukrainian universities.

In 2019, foreign students spent $ 570 million on study, accommodation, insurance, paperwork, food, transportation and other necessities.

“If the average duration of study is 5-6 years, then in general, Ukraine’s income of foreign students for this period is more than 3 billion dollars,” said the Ministry of Education and Science.

Remember that previous colleges received new quarantine recommendations. The ministry recommends that higher education institutions introduce blended learning starting Monday.

The Ministry of Education and Science also spoke about the entry campaign 2021. To register an electronic account, you will need to have at least an EIT certificate and a document on complete general secondary education.
