The newly elected President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, intends to carry out a balanced foreign policy and a pragmatic dialogue with all countries. She affirmed this during the first briefing after the announcement of the election results, reports TASS on Monday, November 16.

My priorities will be to stop the theft of public money, corruption schemes, as well as attract resources to the Moldovan economy, “he said.
Sandu also promised to protect the rights of ethnic minorities.
“I tell you: you have not lost. I will earn your trust with hard facts … Together we will build a Moldova in which citizens of all ethnic groups feel safe, in which their rights, including the right to use their language, they will be safe protected, “he assured.
According to the results of the CCA, Sandu obtained 57.7% of the votes in the second round of the presidential elections, while his rival, the current president Igor Dodon, only 42.2%.
