The day before, on the afternoon of Sunday, November 15, the players of the Ukrainian national team showed negative results in the global tests for the COVID-19 coronavirus. However, on Monday morning, according to the UAF, additional information was received from the laboratory, threatening the possibility of Andriy Shevchenko’s team holding a Nations League match against Switzerland.
As it turned out, three players from the country’s main team, goalkeeper Dmitry Reznik, defender Eduard Sobol and midfielder Yevgeny Makarenko, received positive final test results, which yesterday had a conditionally negative status.
These players were isolated in their hotel rooms, and the Ukrainian team will now await the decision of the local authorities in the Swiss city of Lucerne on the possibility of holding the next match.
Let us remind you that three players from the youth national team joined Shevchenko’s team before the next responsible match.
Our rivals also have problems with the selection of artists: “Nati” only has 20 players left in the cage due to COVID-19 and disqualifications.
The Switzerland – Ukraine match is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17. Starting at 9:45 p.m. Kiev time.
