DPRK leader Kim Jong-un made his first public appearance in nearly a month. He appeared at a meeting of the Politburo of the Labor Party.
This was reported by the South Korean agency Yonhap.
At a Politburo meeting, Kim Jong-un discussed the situation with the coronavirus and the state anti-epidemic situation and clarified the tasks “for the party, the military and economic spheres to further strengthen the anti-epidemic emergency front.”
The DPRK leader also stressed the need to maintain combat readiness and further intensify work against the epidemic. At the same time, the DPRK claims that there is not a single recorded case of coronavirus infection in the country.
By the way, this is the North Korean leader’s first public appearance since October 22.
It was previously reported that the South Korean military was conducting searches near the North Korean border. An unidentified person was found there.
RBC-Ukraine also wrote that in late September, North Korean (DPRK) border guards shot a South Korean Ministry of Fisheries official while at sea on a boat. DPRK leader Kim Jong-un has officially apologized to Seoul for this incident.
