Experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) have recorded a record number of new COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic. On Sunday, November 15, 660,905 cases of coronavirus were detected, writes DW.
Before that, Friday, November 13, became the “record” day for the number of infected people detected: 645,410 cases.
During the past day, 594 thousand cases of contagion with a new type of coronavirus infection have been detected on the planet, according to WHO data.
The total number of detected COVID-19 cases rose to 53,766,728.
1,308,975 patients became victims of the coronavirus worldwide.
WHO experts also identified a trend when the highest number of new cases of coronavirus infection is recorded. These are Friday, Saturday, Sunday and also Tuesday and Wednesday.
