The start of Crew Dragon is scheduled for 02:27 Kiev time. The rocket, with four people on board, is launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The online broadcast of the launch can be viewed on the NASA and SpaceX websites and YouTube channels.
NASA astronauts Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker, as well as Soichi Noguchi, an aeronautical engineer with the Japanese aerospace agency JAXA, will participate in the first operational Crew Dragon mission.
Previously, NASA had already certified SpaceX to send its astronauts to the ISS. This Crew Dragon will be joined by three other members of ISS Expedition 64, NASA astronaut Keith Rubins and Russian cosmonauts Sergei Ryzhikov and Sergei Kud-Sverchkov.
Unlike the first Crew Dragon mission, this time the astronauts will have to participate in planned research on the ISS and undertake several spacewalks to service the station.
Initially, the launch of the new Crew 1 mission was postponed from November 15-16 due to poor weather conditions.
