The popular deputy of the “Opposition Platform – For Life”, Vadim Rabinovich, is infected with the coronavirus and started treatment.

Vadim Rabinovich, a 67-year-old MP from the Opposition Platform – For Life, announced on Facebook on November 15 that he fell ill with COVID-19.

“Unfortunately, I contracted the coronavirus. They will treat us,” he wrote.



According to the publication “Mirror of the week” of November 11, during the pandemic, 75 parliamentarians were infected with the coronavirus, that is, almost one in six. There are currently 14 active patients in the parliamentary secretariat.

Verkhovna Rada President Dmitry Razumkov was diagnosed with COVID-19 on November 11. The Vice President of Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, also contracted the coronavirus and is in self-isolation.

Parliament now includes 423 people’s deputies.

An outbreak of coronavirus infection began in late 2019 in China. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the spread of the coronavirus a pandemic.
