In the Odessa region, as a result of a collision between a Mercedes Sprinter and a Toyota Hiac, one person died at the scene of an accident, five more were hospitalized, where one of the victims also died from his injuries.
The accident occurred on November 15 at approximately 5:30 a.m. at kilometer 68 of the Odessa-Reni highway. This is reported by the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky police department on the official website of the State Emergency Institution in the Odessa region.
According to preliminary information, the Mercedes, which was moving from the city of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky to the town of Starokazachye, did not provide an advantage in the movement of the Toyota, which was driven by a 23-year-old man.
In an accident, the passenger of the last car was killed on the spot. The other victims, two drivers and three passengers in the vehicles, were taken to the district hospital.
“Despite the efforts of the doctors, another person died from injuries received in the intensive care unit,” – inform law enforcement officers.
It is observed that the police continue to establish the circumstances of the fatal accident. In addition, the issue of entering information about the incident in the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under Part 2 of Art. 286 (violation of traffic safety regulations or the operation of vehicles by people who operate vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, late on the night of November 10, a frontal accident occurred in the Vasilkovsky district of the Kiev region, followed by a fire. As a result of the collision on the Odessa highway, two people were killed and the car burned to the ground.
